Sport is shown here with his new owner, Elizabeth Ramirez Coranado on 10/14/2001, just before graduation from Leader Dogs for the Blind school in Rochester, MI. Sport and Elizabeth now work at the National School for the Blind in Mexico, and they navigate their way back and forth on the crowded streets and public transportation of Mexico City every day. About 600 dogs per year train to become Leader Dogs, and only about 300 graduate the difficult program (the others are adopted by sighted people). We're very proud of you Sportito. |
